This is a dance and movement workshop inspired by the exhibition: The Earth is Knot Flat, by Emma McNally. You can attend the exhibition for free before the workshop, the gallery opens at 12pm, or after until 6pm.
Family Dance and the Drawing Room
By the end of our workshops, participants will have:
- Fostered Family Bonds: Enjoyed quality time together, strengthening family connections through shared experiences
- Engaged in Creative Exploration: Explored topics and artworks through dynamic movement and dance activities, including creating their own responses to themes, sharing ideas with the group, and integrating verbal and visual cues into their movements
- Enhanced Cultural Venue Experience: Discovered where to find the discussed objects or themes within the cultural venue, sparking a deeper interest and encouraging further exploration
- Developed Movement Skills: Had the opportunity to dance in relation to themselves, their family members, and the larger group, fostering individual and group connections
